Let it be

As a starter for write a long essays again, I just came up with the idea to write a blog.
What I am doing now is essays for application. Yes, to apply for graduate school of UH.
I've been keep saying that I want to make my study more practical. That might be a great frustration every humanity major student confront with. Yet since I could conclude my original research question in the field of sociology and ethnic studies, so I assume I can move on to another phase. My challenge is make my research more practical and solve one more question or problem that I could not answer in this four years. That is about future, of Okinawa, and life of every people who is living in Okinawa.
Well, you may ask me how come I dwell on Okinawa that much. That is because I born and raised here, supported by many people or institutions, I have acknowledged many internal/external conflicts ,and I understand how those people related to me loves life in or land of Okinawa. There must be much better, more clever way to make a living in a way of adapted in community based on the lands and cultures. I desired to work toward it. Then what is that? I know this is such a big question!
I don't really think there is another golden resolution for all. Perhaps what I'm trying to do is meditate those people and let each knowledge link. I know many people has each various specialties, and I believe we can make situation better if those specialists would collaborate together. It requires mutual understanding, and communication.
These are why I try to study more. I study economics with historical backgrounds and relationship with politics to understand how current situation has shaped. I study plannings to make it practical in the future with perspectives with community and cultural lifestyle. Through these studies, I want to be a person who can explain why we have such difficulties and clear the causes, handle knowledge from various aspects, share and lead a reasonable resolution.
